Visual Journaling has always been on my list for learning for the last few years. It was a sign when I saw Genine’s post about her classes. I don’t have an artistic background at all which I think made it easier for me to learn. Genine is not only a spectacular artist but it’s her passion for the art that really shines through and is contagious. She is very encouraging, flexible, patient and kind. She encourages you to embrace imperfection and to find your own style. I love all her tips on how to make visual painting travel friendly and accessible. Thanks to her, it’s been a year now since I've been sketching & painting and I am on my third book! Thank you so much Genine for helping me unlock my new passion!

I looked forward to the introduction to visual journaling class every week. It was great to be able to switch off from the day-to-day, and immerse myself in something different. It really helped that there was never any pressure to produce anything that looked good, as I was able to just enjoy the process without worrying about the end-product.

Bodø European Capital of Culture Event
Bodø, Norway
As a part of the European Capital of Culture Events I will be giving a free workshop hosted by BODØ2024 and Urban Sketchers Norway.
Explore Your World: A 3-Hour Intro to Urban Sketching. Over three hours, you'll gain valuable skills to record your world and experiences through sketching.

KulTUR with DNT along The Nordland Trekking Trail
I will be taking part in KulTur, a unique adventure along the 650 km Nordland route. In partnership with Bodø and the surrounding tourist association, Bodø2024, and Project Nordlandsruta, these collaborative tours feature artistic events at select locations.
As a part of the Main tour South I will hike 325 km over 21 days from Hattfjelldal to Sulitjelma.
Documenting my journey with pen, ink and watercolor. This trip will culminate with an exhibition of the work I create during the hike.
Still in the final planning phases I may also be giving workshops along the route. Stayed tuned and go to
